New system for booking court interpreters costing one region an extra £30,000 per week. It follows a decision by the Ministry of Justice to outsource court interpreting to one agency called Applied Language Solutions. Since the contract started there's been widespread disruption to the court service leading to adjournments, mistakes and extra costs.
