Capita TI unable to provide interpreter
I received a call from a (local) West Midlands Police station yesterday afternoon (2 December 2015). They had been waiting for over 13 hours for Capita TI to provide an interpreter. The officers then resorted to the NRPSI and booked me. I accepted this assignment.
To say that the police (sergeants and PCs) were singularly unimpressed by Capita TI would be an understatement. I was told numerous times that there was nothing wrong with the old system, where an interpreter would arrive within 30-45 minutes, and that the present system was/is a complete waste of time and money. When I said they needed to forward their views to those in charge, the reply was this had been done but no notice was taken whatsoever.
