Case for Romanian defendant adjourned
A man accused of stealing items from a Newtown company will appear at court later this month after an interpreter could not be secured for his initial appearance this week.
Titel Neagu, 32, is accused of theft in Newtown on August 16. It is said he stole items from a skip belonging to Makefast Group, based on the Mochdre Industrial Estate.
The company is described as a leading manufacturer of marine solutions and products.
Neagu, of Old Walsall Road, Perry Barr, Birmingham, appeared at Welshpool Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, September 3, but his case was adjourned because a Romanian interpreter was required.
He is due to return to court on September 24. In the meantime, he was granted conditional bail, which states he must not enter Powys, except for matters relating to this case.
