Hearings adjourned due to interpreter issues
Bo Yang, 40, appeared at Burnley Crown Court on Thursday (June 19) and entered his pleas after previous hearings had to be adjourned due to interpreter issues.
Yang pleaded not guilty to two charges of rape, false imprisonment attempting to cause grievous bodily harm, robbing the victim of bank cards, fraudulently using a mobile phone to transfer funds to his bank account, and possession of a knife in a public place.
The offences are alleged to have happened in Burnley earlier this year.
Yang, of Winn Grove, Sheffield, was remanded in custody ahead of a trial date on October 20.
A mention hearing was also scheduled for July 4.
