Reliance has been acquired by Capita plc
I am writing to give you some important information about Reliance Secure Task Management Ltd and Reliance Medical Services Ltd. Some of you might not be aware of it yet. Reliance or RSTM and RMS have been acquired by Capita plc on the 24th of August 2012.
In the letter sent to the Reliance Suppliers it says the following: “RSTM and RMS remain as legal entities within Capita’s secure solutions business and business activities will continue as normal for the immediate future.”
Reliance is the official supplier of interpreters to Sussex Police, and they, in turn, are outsourcing from the NRPSI list. This is the only contract that I know of but I am sure is not the only one in the UK.
It looks like Capita is slowly taking over the public service interpreting through the front door and if that does not work then throw money at it and it gets in through the back door.
I wonder what other tricks they have got up their sleeve...
